Mr. Kartikey Mahajan, Associate, Clifford Chance, Singapore, will be speaking at Panel Discussion III: “Institutional Arbitration in India: Past, Present and Future”, on October 16, 2016.
Mr. Mahajan is a part of the International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution team of Clifford Chance – Asia, in Singapore. He has previously worked in the office of Additional Solicitor General of India and atLuthra & Luthra Law Offices. He has extensive experience in representing the government, public sector undertakings and private parties in institutional (ICC, LCIA, SIAC, HKIAC) and ad hoc arbitrations, as well as litigation proceedings in various jurisdictions, including Paris, London, Singapore, Hong-Kong and India. Mr. Mahajan holds an LL.M from Harvard Law School and is an alumnus of National Law University, Jodhpur. He is also the 2015-2016 CARTAL Visiting Fellow.
Mr. Mahajan will be discussing whether and how Indian law facilitates institutional arbitration, and the perceived successes and failures of home-bred arbitral institutes.
